jQuery Workshop Giveaway
To celebrate our 14 days of jQuery, Dextrose AG is having two very cool offers for European jQuery users.
First off, they will be giving away a free ticket for their “Advanced jQuery” one-day workshop with jQuery team member Paul Bakaus. The workshop will be held in Wiesbaden, Germany. The winner can choose whether he wants to attend the German workshop on February 22nd or the English one on March 29th.
In order to participate, simply sign up at the Dextrose AG web site. The winner will then be drawn at the end of the 14 days!
If you’d rather not wait until you win, you can also make use of their other special offer: All of Dextrose’s jQuery and
JavaScript related workshops are 50% off the normal price during the 14 Days of jQuery.
jQuery Podcast Episode 8: api.jquery.com
Ralph Whitbeck and Elijah Manor sit down with Karl Swedberg and Paul Irish to discuss the new api.jquery.com site. In this live recording of the official jQuery podcast, Karl and Paul provide more insight into the updated documentation and new features of the site.

jQuery 1.4 Hawtness #3, with Paul Irish
The third of six installments, Paul walks you through the improvements and additions to the API in jQuery 1.4. He demonstrates with real-world examples how you’ll put these new features to use, along with recommendations on performance and useful hints on the internals.
In Hawtness #3, Paul covers $.proxy(), bind(), and $.event.special and demonstrates some nifty uses with events. The code discussed in ep #3 is viewable on fixee.org
jQuery API Key Navigation
We’re excited to announce a new feature that landed on the jQuery API site today. Our first release of the API site marked a number of major improvements in design, organization, and content from the old docs site. We were really excited to bring jQuery developers a quick and easy way of finding the information they need.

Today, we have added keyboard navigation to the main and category pages. Just hit the down arrow key when you arrive to the site. Finding the document you need, will be as easy as typing in the search box to filter down the main page, arrowing down to it, and typing enter to navigate to that page.

Rick Waldron from Bocoup did an outstanding job delivering the intuitive interaction that we wanted from this feature. More information about the navigation can be found in their blog post on it.
